      History

      Romanista suizo. Nació en 1896 en Zurich. Se especializó en diversas lenguas románica entre 1915 y 1920, como el árabe, el castellano, el portugués, etc. Comenzó a aprender vaso en Suiza de la mano de Odón Apraiz. Se especializó en euskera, siendo el tema de su tesis doctoral en 1923.

      Estuvo trabajando en diversas revistas como Vox Romanica y fue corresponsal de la Sociedad de Estudios Vascos en Zurich.

      Falleció en 1963 en Madrid.
