Trabajo como criptógrafo durante la II GM Lindsay Anderson fue un inglés director, actor y crítico de cine y teatro. Nació en India del Sur, donde conoció a su amigo Gavin Lambert. Trabajo el último año de la IIGM como criptógrafo y ayudó a clavar la bandera roja después de que el partido laborista ganara las lecciones generales del Reino Unido de 1945. En primer lugar fue crítico de cine, donde adquirió bastante prestigio comentado las películas. Hacia los años 50' será ya cuando comience su andadura por el cine como director de documentales y cortos. Uno de sus principales apoyos económicos fue John Ford con el escribiría un libro. Las principales películas por las que se le conoció fueron Si .... (1968) con la que consiguió la palma de oro, El ingenuo salvaje (1963) y Un hombre de suerte (1973). Murió el 30 de agosto de 1994 a los 71 años de edad en Angouleme a causa de un ataque al corazón.

Lindsay Anderson was an English film director, actor and theatre and film critic. He was born in Sothern India, where he met his friend Gavin Lambert. He worked as cryptographer during the last year of the Second World War and helped to stuck the red flag after the Labour Party won the general elections of 1945 in Great Britain. He first was film critic when he adquired a great recognition by comenting the movies. He began directing documentaries and short films around the fifties. One of his biggest economic support was John Ford's, and wrote a book with him. His more important movies were If... (1968), which gained the Palme d'Or, This sporting life (1963) and O lucky man! (1973). He died the 30th August 1994 at the age of 71 in Angouleme due to a heart attack.

Axel Von Ambesser fue un actor y director de origen alemán. En sus inicios fue actor y director de teatro, aunque también participó como actor, en algunas películas, destacando Las mujeres no son ángeles (1943). Después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, trabajo como escritor de teatro, cine y televisión. Y sobre todo como director de cine. Su obra más conocida fue: El pathfinder (1958) y El buen soldado Svejk (1960). Para teatro siguió organizando sus propias piezas en ciudades como Berlín, Múnich, Hamburgo... En sus últimos años se le pudo ver en televisión tanto como actor como director. En 1985 publicó su autobiografía: Tome un nombre con A; y en 1987 la novela: Pero simplemente no me preguntes como… Tiene varios premios y distinciones en todos los campos en los que participo dentro de las artes escénicas. El 6 de septiembre de 1988 murió en Múnich.

Axel Von Ambesser was a German actor and film director. At the beginnig, he was a theatre actor and director, though he also took part as a film actor in some movies such as Women ar no angel (1943). After the Second World War he worked as theatre, cinema and television scriptwriter, especially as film director. His most popular works were: Pathfinder (1958) and The good soldier Svejk (1960). He continued making his own pieces for theatre in cities like Berlin, Munich, Hamburg... In his last years, he performed and directed on television. He published in 1985 his autobiography: Choose a name with A, and in 1987 he published the novel: Aber fragt mich nur nicht, wie.... He has several prizes and distinctions in all performing arts fields he participated on. He died the 6th September 1988 in Munich.
